Message to Congress: You cannot compensate someone for taking what is sacred to them. This bill provides $2.8 billion annually through the year 2015 to fund various conservation, wildlife, recreation, and environmental restoration projects primarily in Alaska, as well as at the federal level. 05/19/2000 - Wilderness Designation for the Copper River Delta is Threatened! We need your help! Eyak Conservation Easement Alternative
• Dune and Carol attended the E-Law Conference in Eugene, Oregon in the first weekend of March 2000, where they networked with friends and activists around the country about the state of the forests. They met with Tim Hermach (Native Forest Council), Soren Wuerth (Wild Voices, AK) and other activists friends - Heather, Ryan, Wes, Megan, et al. Dune and Carol, along with Scott Anaya (National Wildlife Federation) and gave presentations about the situation in the Copper River Delta. Julia Butterfly was the keynote speaker and was stupendous! Meanwhile, outside the conference, protests were taking place.
