Read Dune's July 26, 1999 Oral Testimony to the House Committee on Resources6/21/99 - The Wilderness Society released a report that listed the Copper River Delta as one of the Top 15 Most Endangered Wildlands. The report discuses how Chugach Alaska Corporation's planto build a logging road will threathen the Copper River, the forest, as well as the Indigenous Culture. The Wilderness also selected Dune Lankard as "Champion of the Land" for his efforts in protecting the Copper River Delta Region.
